Trusting Yourself to Move with Integrity
Strengthening your allyship by releasing the weight of perfectionism
The Last Quarter Moon is a sacred invitation to let go. As the lunar cycle starts to wind down, this is our opportunity to shed what no longer serves us. This week, our focus is on releasing the guilt and self-doubt that often creep into our efforts to show up for others and act with integrity. In a world where justice and freedom require continuous effort, we have to learn to balance commitment with sustainability.
In the United States, so many things are happening and being planned for right now that it can be easy to get swept up in fear and depression. There’s so much hurt and pain and hatred in the world right now, and it can make you feel so small and helpless. We might think, “How are we supposed to change anything when it feels like we no longer have input in the way our country is run?” or “Are our efforts actually changing anything?” Or maybe we feel overwhelmed and need some time to take care of ourselves, but we feel guilty, like we aren’t doing enough if we aren’t always doing something.
The reality is that nothing going on right now can be changed immediately or by one person. We have to let go of our guilt and remember that we can’t pour from an empty cup, and that self-care is necessary. We have to trust that we are capable and that when we work with others, we have immense power. This week, we let the Last Quarter Moon strip those feelings of fear and guilt away, so that we can continue to fight the good fight and move forward with conviction and integrity.
Tarot Guidance
The Five of Cups represents regret, disappointment, and focusing on what we perceive as our failures. It asks us: Are you focusing too much on what you haven’t done rather than recognizing the impact you’ve made? It’s natural to feel like we could be doing more, but guilt that paralyzes rather than motivates is not serving us. Acknowledge what you’re feeling, but don’t let it consume you.
Meanwhile, the Hermit calls us inward for deep reflection. This card urges us to reconnect with our inner wisdom, to separate ourselves from the noise, and to find our own path. Sometimes, the best way to show up for others is to first ensure that we are grounded in truth and understanding. What does allyship look like for you, personally? How can you sustain it in a way that aligns with your strengths and values?
Astrological Influence
Saturn, the planet of discipline and responsibility, reminds us that self-doubt can be one of the greatest obstacles to action. Under its influence, we may feel as though we’re not doing enough or that our efforts don’t matter. However, Saturn also teaches us that true progress comes from steady, committed action rather than grand gestures. Release the guilt of not doing everything and trust in the power of consistent effort.
Looking at your 12th house in your natal chart can also offer insight into hidden fears and subconscious guilt that may be holding you back. The 12th house governs deep emotional patterns and the things we keep hidden, even from ourselves. Are there feelings of inadequacy or fear of failure lingering in your subconscious? Recognizing and addressing these doubts is the first step toward letting them go and stepping into a more empowered, purpose-driven role.
My 12th house in Libra holds Mars and Chiron, so I actually have a lot of subconscious feelings that I’ve had to wrestle with in regards to justice. I’ve made a lot of progress, but I still struggle with feeling like I’m not doing enough about all the injustice that I see in the world. With Chiron also in Libra, I specifically feel guilt around letting others down by not doing enough, and those are things that I’ve had to work on releasing and giving myself grace for.
Questions to ask yourself this week:
What limiting beliefs or habits are holding you back from acting with integrity? What guilt or self-doubt are you carrying that is no longer serving you?
No matter what fears, doubts, or feelings you carry when it comes to being a good ally, know that all our efforts are impactful, especially when we work alongside and support each other. Take care of yourself and show yourself kindness, then get out there and fight however it feels right to.
As this cycle ends, another will begin, so stay tuned for our next cycle theme! Sending you love and power 🩵
